Who is the Get Ahead programme for?+
Students starting IB Chemistry — the first year of the IB Diploma (DP1) — in the new school year who want to begin a step ahead. It is especially useful if your child found IGCSE or MYP chemistry tricky, or is taking Chemistry at Higher Level. Other subjects are available on request.
How does it work?+
It starts with a short, free readiness diagnostic (about 30 minutes) covering the foundational chemistry IB Chemistry assumes. No payment, no PinPoint account needed. At the end you get a clear gap report and a free review call to talk it through. If you choose to go ahead with the programme, we fix the gaps with focused 1:1 sessions and then use PinPoint to get a head start on the toughest first-year topics.
What does the free diagnostic cover?+
About 30 carefully chosen questions on the prerequisite chemistry knowledge needed for a strong start in IB Chemistry — atomic structure, the periodic table, bonding, the mole, formulae and equations, basic organic, and the maths and command-term skills the IB course assumes. The questions are exam-style and each wrong answer points to a specific named misconception, so the gap report is genuinely useful.
